Test before printing
Scan the QR code with more than one phone and in lighting similar to the place where the printed material will be used.
Keep contrast and margin
Use strong contrast and leave enough empty space around the code so the camera can recognize it without nearby visual noise.
Keep the destination alive
A static QR code points to the text or link you entered. If the URL changes, goes offline or requires login, the printed code may stop being useful.
